Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has expressed his hope that BNP will participate in the next parliamentary elections.

The CEC came up with the hope while responding to the journalists after holding a meeting with law enforcers regarding the upcoming city corporation polls at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the city on Thursday.

All the necessary directives have been given so that the elections to Rajshahi, Sylhet and Barisal city corporations do not become questionable ahead of the national polls, said the CEC.

According to the schedule, elections to Rajshahi, Sylhet and Barisal city corporations will be held on July 30.
