Mild tremor shakes country

Mild tremors shook Dhaka and other parts of the country on Wednesday morning.     

The quake shook the country around 10:50am which lasted for about 3 seconds. 

Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the earthquake has been measured at 5.3 magnitude and it was originated from India's Assam.    

On the other hand, US Geological Survey traced the epicentre of the quake to 9km off from Saptagram, Assam, India and measured it at 5.6 magnitude. 

However, there was no immediate report of any damage or casualty.
