One killed in Jessore ‘gunfight’

A robber was killed in a reported gunfight between two groups of robbers in Jessore last night.

The incident took place in Nongorpur Mazar area on Magura road in the district around 2:30am.  

The deceased could not be identified immediately. 

Police recovered the body along with a gun, bullets, five cutlasses and one Chinese axe from the spot, said officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Ajmal Huda. 

The body was sent to Jessore General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
