Mother, disabled child found dead in Natore

A woman and her two-year-old disabled son were found dead in Naldanga upazila of Natore on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Sharmin Begum, 25, wife of Mahmudul Haque Munna and their disabled son Abdullah. Munna works at a garment factory in Dhaka.

Locals found the door locked from outside in the morning and saw Sharmin’s body lying in the house in Bashila Uttarpara.

Sharmin was strangled,” said Shafiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Naldanga Police Station. Abdullah’s body was recovered from a pool near the house.

Police said they suspect that miscreants murdered the duo sometime at night while the motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.
