Teacher punched, slapped, kicked for not allowing to copy

A lecturer of Bangla Department of Government Shaheed Bulbul College in Pabna has been beaten for not allowing the students to adopt unfair means in the examination. 

Md Masudur Rahman, a 36th BCS general education cadre, has extremely been dishonoured and humiliated by punching, slapping and kicking by the miscreants. The incident took place on May 12 but it was disclosed after the college's CCTV video footage went viral on Tuesday night.   

According to the CCTV footage, several youths abruptly attacked Masudur Rahman while he was coming out through the gate of the college by a motorcycle. They punched, kicked and slapped him. His head turban was also thrown out. At one stage, when he wanted to leave the spot, another youth kicked him heavily from behind.

According to lecturer Md Masudur Rahman, several students were adopting unfair means in the examination at Government Shaheed Bulbul College on May 6 HSC exam. For this, I took the answer scripts of two female students. From then, several close male students of them were spreading false allegations against me. In fact, they became aggressive on me for not allowing them to copy.   

Md Samsuddin Ahmed Jonnu, President of Bangladesh Chattra League's (BCL) Shaheed Bulbul College unit, said "Lecturer Masudur Rahman gave an unethical proposal to a female student and was being sexually harassed her for not agreeing to his proposal. Those who attached him on May 12 were none of BCL but they were agitated." 

M A Kuddus, principal of Government Shaheed Bulbul College in Pabna, told Samakal that a seven-member committee headed by Associate Professor Dr. Krishnendu Kumar was formed to probe into the matter and steps will be taken after getting the report. 

Obaidul Haque, officer-in-charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station, said no one lodge any complaint regarding the incident. Action will be taken after proper investigation if get the complaint.
