Priyanka Chopra

Within a week of her international film, A Kid Like Jake, being selected for the Sundance Film Festival, there's good news pouring in for Priyanka Chopra again. The actor has topped the list of 50 Sexiest Asian Women, a poll conducted by London-based weekly Eastern Eye. Interestingly, Chopra has dethroned her peer and friend Deepika Padukone, who had bagged the honour last year.

The actor-producer came out on top following millions of votes pouring in, on social media. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Quantico star has made her presence felt on the list. She previously held the top spot in 2014 and 2015, mid-day reports.

Reacting to the honour, Chopra shows she's a mix of beauty and brains as she quips, "I cannot take credit for this at all. Full credit should be given to my genetics and optics! I want to thank everyone who voted for me to be Asia's Sexiest Woman, for what I'm told is a record-breaking number of times." Asjad Nazir, curator of the list, adds, "Priyanka has become an incredible ambassador for India. Apart from being courageous enough to fly into the unknown, professionally, she has become a strong symbol for girl power."
