Professor Ali Asgar, a prominent science teacher in the country, has passed away on Thursday morning. He was 82.
He died at United Hospital in the capital at 4.30am due to bleeding in the brain.
Prof Asgar is survived by his wife and two sons.
Ali Asgar has been teaching Physics at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for a long time.
He used to write about science. The former president of Khelaghor is the founding president of the Physics Society. He is one of the leading figures of the Science Olympiad Committee.
Asgar has taught physics as guest teachers in various universities around the world.
