Good faith concept of ACC chief isn't clear: Quader
What the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman had wanted to mean about ‘good faith' is not clear, said Awami League general secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
"The ACC chief will have to clear the matter," he said this while addressing media at the Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi on Friday.
Any corruption will be considered as a corruption to the government, he said.
ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud yesterday at deputy commissioners’ (DC) conference said if government officials or employees commit any mistakes or irregularities in ‘good faith,’ they are not crimes.
“It is mentioned in the Penal Code that anything done in good faith cannot be termed a crime; it is called general exception,” he said.
