Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Secretary General Redwan Ahmed has been detained with bullets at Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Monday.

The airport’s security detained him with seven bullets around 9:00am.

Airport Police Station OC Noor-e-Azam Mia said Redwan Ahmed came to the airport this morning to fly to Chattogram on a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Later, the security officials detained him after detecting the bullets while scanning his bag at the domestic terminal’s check point, claimed the OC.

Airport’s Aviation Security Forces Director Wing Commander Obaidur Rahman said Redwan Ahmed was handed to police after initial interrogation for carrying the bullets in his bag without prior declaration.
