Imran elevated to minister, Indira new state minister

The Cabinet of the Awami League government is being extended.   

State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad will be elevated to the rank of minister while Fazilatunnesa Indira, a leader of the ruling Awami League’s women’s chapter, will be a new state minister.

Cabinet Secretary Shafiul Alam on Thursday informed that the both are expected to be taken oath on Saturday.

After Awami League's landslide victory on December 30 parliamentary election, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formed the government for the third straight term on January 7.
