Ali Md Yusuf was staying in Habiganj town because of his job. He was the head teacher of Little Flower KG & High School in the district town. His wife Chishtia Begum, 25, is a nurse at Rangunia Health Complex. They have a 14-month-old daughter.

Yusuf used to visit his wife at least once a month, even though the husband and wife were in two districts for livelihood. On Monday night, he boarded on Udayan Express to meet his wife and children. Before getting on the train, he called his wife and said, 'See you in the morning.' But the irony of fate is that they did not meet them anymore.

In a collision between the two intercity trains - Udayan Express and Turna Nishitha - at Mondobagh railway station in Kasba Upazila of Brahmanbaria, took the life of Ali Md Yusuf. He died on the spot during the fatal accident. His wife Chistiya has become speechless soon after receiving his death news.

Early in the Tuesday morning, Chistiya along with her husband's cousin Uzzal and other relatives left for the scene to receive the body. Since her arrival in Kasba, Chishtia did not utter a single word except looking at a glance. Her tears have dried up as well. Once she cried after receiving the body of her husband but she has become silent again.

Talking to Samakal, Uzzal said, "Bhabi (sister-in-law) has become as hard as stone facing such a tragic accident. She is not talking to anyone. I feel pain thinking of their minor girl. May Allah bless her to bear the grief."

At least 16 people were killed and over 50 others injured in a collision between two intercity trains at Mondobagh Railway Station in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria district at around 2:45 am on Tuesday.

Udayan Express was heading to Chattogram from Sylhet while Turna Nishita was moving to Dhaka from Chattogram.
