Leaders, activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League's Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute unit have allegedly pushed their principal engineer Farid Uddin Ahmed into a pond on the campus for not realising their unfair demands.
On Saturday afternoon, on the way to his office, the principal was picked up and thrown into a pond by the BCL men.
However, Principal Farid Uddin said he saved himself from drowning as he knew swimming.
He alleged as saying, "At different times, the BCL leaders, activists of my college used to come to me with illegal, unfair demands. They were angry with me for not accepting those demands."
