Bus catches fire in Karwan Bazar

A passenger bus caught fire suddenly in the capital's Karwan Bazar on Saturday.

A bus of Trust Service Limited caught fire all on a sudden in front of the CA building at Karwan Bazar in the afternoon. 

Witnesses said the driver and passengers quickly got off the bus after seeing smoke in the engine of the bus. Shortly afterwards the bus caught fire. 

On information, fire service members rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control.

No casualties were reported yet. However, traffic was stopped on both sides of the busy road from Farmgate to Karwan Bazar.

The fire service could not immediately identify the cause of the fire.
