Police have recovered the body of a Chinese citizen from Banani in the capital.

Two teams of law enforcers, including DB-police, rushed to the spot at 1pm on Wednesday to recover the body, said Officer-in-Charge of Banani Police Station (OC) Noor Azam Mia.

He told The Daily Samakal that the body was buried in the ground behind the House No. 82 on Banani's Road No 23. But a part of his knee was getting out of the ground and local people informed it to the police.

Police arrived at the scene and recovered the body. Initially, it is believed that someone killed him on Monday or Tuesday and put him under the ground and covered with soil, said the OC.

Details will be revealed after the autopsy, he added.
