Twelve prominent citizens of Bangladesh have expressed concern over the ongoing violence in Delhi for several days.
They expressed their concern in a joint statement sent on Thursday.

At the same time, we are convinced that if the situation is not resolved jointly, there will be instability in the neighboring countries which will destroy the peace, democracy, development and communal harmony of the countries of the region. We call upon the Government of India and the people, to take effective measures to protect India's heritage, communal harmony and democratic values. '
Several parts of northeast Delhi witnessed incidents of stone-pelting, arson and firing from country-arms during clashes between anti and pro Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) groups.
