33 virus deaths, 2,654 new cases in 24 hrs

Thirty-three more patients died of coronavirus and 2,654 people were newly diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.


Additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Nasima Sultana disclosed this while presenting a regular health bulletin on coronavirus situation on Wednesday.


Some 2,654 samples were found to be positive for coronavirus after testing a total of 11,160 samples.


Some 1,890 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries to 141,150.


Bangladesh first detected coronavirus on 8 March and a patient first died on 18 March.
