Friendship with India is getting stronger day by day: Home Minister
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that Bangladesh's friendship with India is very good and it is getting stronger day by day.
He said this while visiting Gandhi Ashram at Madhurchar in Dhaka's Dohar upazila on Wednesday.
"India is our tested friend," the minister said. India has supported us in our great war of liberation. The ties between the two countries is integral and it is getting stronger day by day," said the minister.
Earlier, the outgoing Indian High Commissioner Reva Ganguly Das paid a courtesy call on him at the Minister's residence in Shinepukur, Dohar.
During the courtesy call and visit to Gandhi Ashram, Mustafa Kamal Uddin, Senior Secretary, Department of Public Security, Ministry of Home Affairs, IGP Jabed Patwari, Home Ministry officials, Bangladesh Police officials and local dignitaries were present.
