Covid-19: 16 dead, 697 infected

Bangladesh has recorded 16 Covid-20 deaths and 702 new cases in 24 hours, according to a press release issued on Tuesday by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 15,097 samples were tested at 199 authorized laboratories across the country during the time.
Of the total sample tests in the past 24 hours, 4.65 percent tested positive, while 15.18 percent cases were detected from the total tests conducted so far, the release added.
Among the total infections, 89.57 percent patients have recovered, while 1.50 percent died so far since the first COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8.
