74 Covid deaths in 24 hours
Bangladesh has reported 74 deaths from Covid in the last 24 hours, the highest number of deaths since the inception of the deadly virus in the country, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in its routine daily statement on Thursday.
At least 6,854 new infections were recorded in the meantime, added the release.
The total number of casualties reaches 9,521 and the total number of people infected with the virus rose to 6,66,132.
The current positivity rate is 20.65 percent.
A total of 33,193 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours.
During the period, at least 3,391 Covid-19 patients have recovered.
