Bangladesh goes 5 steps ahead in strong passport index
Bangladesh has advanced five steps in the list of strong passports.
This information is mentioned in the recently published index of The Henley & Partners, a UK-based organization where it is shown that Libya and Kosovo are jointly ranked 103rd with Bangladesh in the strong passport index.
Now Bangladeshi passport holders can travel to 40 countries without advance visa. In October last year, Bangladesh was ranked 108th in the Passport Index.
The Henley & Partners has been publishing research and indicators on the subject for over a decade. This index of strong passports is based on the number of countries that can be visited without a visa in advance with the passport of any country. Henley & Partners releases the index every three months.
In the latest published passport index, two South Asian countries are behind Bangladesh.
Pakistan is 108th and Nepal is 105th.
Maldives has the strongest passport among South Asian countries. Passport holders of the country can travel to 88 countries without the next visa.
Currently the strongest passport is from Japan. Singapore is also at the top along with Japan. Citizens of both countries will be able to travel to 192 countries without an advance visa.
