Woman, son killed in truck-tempo collision

A woman and her son were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and tempo in Barisal city.
The accident happened in front of Kuwait Plaza adjacent to the city's Sagardi Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Delwara Begum, 60, and her son Shipon, 35, hailed from Sriramkathi village in Nalchiti upazila of Jhalakathi, said Barisal Kotwali Model Police Station OC Nurul Islam.
The injured - Anis, 42, Swapan, 50, Shipon, 45, and Morsheda Begum, 30 - were admitted to the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barisal.
