Bangladesh can be a business hub: FBCCI

FBCCI Vice President Dr. Joshoda Jibon Deb Nath said Bangladesh, a South Asian country, can be the trade hub and bridge of business between the countries of ASEAN, South Asian and South East Asian. 

The business leader came up with the call during a courtesy call with Vuong Dinh Hue, President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam held on Friday at the Hotel InterContinental in Dhaka. 

Dr. Joshoda Jibon said Bangladesh will try to enter into several FTA and PTA with South East Asian emerging economic tigers.

Increasing bilateral commerce with Vietnam will open up new markets for Bangladesh, particularly with ASEAN nations, he claimed.

On the other hand, Jashoda continued, ASEAN wants to establish external economic and business ties with many developed and developing nations.

Bangladesh can provide ASEAN with a bridge between South Asia and South East Asia thanks to its economic potential and favorable geographic location. 

In order to ensure a win-win business relationship, he noted, Bangladesh may opt for a regional comprehensive economic partnership (RCEP) with the ASEAN.
