Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has said that if the onion prices fall in exchange of his resignation, it will not take a second to quit his job as minister.

The Commerce Minister made the remarks at a meeting held at a hotel in Paltan in the capital on Tuesday.

The meeting discussed the responsibilities of the businessmen to prevent the rise in prices of essential commodities.

"It does not take a second for me to resign from my job if prices of onions fall down in exchange of my resignation."

The Awami League Sub-Committee on Industry and Commerce organized the meeting.
