India has banned onion exports to Bangladesh on Monday afternoon without prior announcement.

As a result, about 150 onion-loaded trucks are stuck in Petrapole, on the other side of Benapole, said Benapole Customs Commissioner Azizur Rahman.

India has been the main source of onion imports for Bangladesh.

The importers of Bangladesh are in trouble due to the sudden decision in this regard.
