JMB's Ameer Abu Raihan among 3 arrested

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested the banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) Ameer Abu Raihan alias Mahmud alias Hadi and its two members.

On Sunday night, members of the DMP's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit arrested them from Syednagar area of Bhatara in the capital.

DMP Additional Police Commissioner and also chief of CTTC Monirul Islam made the disclosure at a press briefing held at DMP Media Centre at 12pm on Monday.

The other two arrestees are Habibur Rahman alias Chand Mia and Rajibur Rahman alias Rajib alias Sagar.

Monirul said three detonators, a commando knife and 20 packets of explosive gel were recovered from their possession.
