Case filed over two women murder in Mirpur

A case has been filed over the murder of two women at the residence in the capital’s Mirpur. The victim's daughter Rashida Begum filed the case on Tuesday night.

Mirpur Police Station OC (Operation) Dulal Hossain confirmed the information to The Daily Samakal.

He said unknown persons have been charged in the case. Rahima's adopted son Sohel was also questioned at the police station.

Police recovered the bodies of two women, Rahima Begum Kamala, 60, and Sumi Akhter, 20, from a fourth-floor flat at the house No 9 on Road 2 of A block of Mirpur-2 on Tuesday night. Police believe that they might have been strangulated at sometime on Monday night. point. Since the incident, Rahima's adopted son, Sohel, has been absconding.
