The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will start a drive on September 15 in order to remove illegal billboards, signboards, banners, festoons, project signs and shop signs from its areas.

Prior to the drive, the city corporation will ask people concerned to legalise illegal billboards, signboards, banners, festoons, project signs and shop signs within September 14.

In this regard, a virtual preparatory meeting was held with DNCC mayor Atiqul Islam in the chair, said a press release, reports BSS.

The mayor said some people are advertising their respective business putting up billboards, signboards, banners and festoons without the approval of DNCC.

In addition, immediate auction activities will continue to remove illegally placed construction materials and other installations on sidewalks and roads, he said.

Other DNCC officials were present, among others.
