BNP leader Giasuddin Quader jailed for 3 yr

A court has sentenced BNP Vice Chairman Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury to three years’ imprisonment for threatening to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Chattogram Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Shahidullah Kaiser passed the order on Wednesday and fined him Tk 5,000, in default, he has to serve for three more months in jail.
On May 30, Nazim Uddin Muhuri, general secretary of Awami League's Fatikchhari unit, filed the case against Giasuddin.
Giasuddin is the younger brother of executed war criminal Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury.
