3 killed in Narsingdi truck-autorickshaw collision

Three people, including a child, have died after a truck ran over a CNG-run autorickshaw at Raypura upazila of Narsingdi on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway. Two others were injured in this incident.

Confirming the matter, Bhairab Highway Model Police Station Sub Inspector Tapan Uddin said the incident happened at the Morjal-Shimultali area at around 9:45pm on Friday. The deceased could not be immediately identified.

An autorickshaw was going to Bhiti Morjal with five passengers. A truck coming from the opposite direction hit the autorickshaw head-on, killing three passengers on the spot and injuring two others.

After the accident, locals rescued the injured and brought them to a local hospital. On information, police recovered the bodies of the deceased, SI Tapan said.
