2 drug accused killed in Teknaf 'gunfight'

Two accused of drug and arms were killed in a 'gunfight' with police in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar in the early hours of Thursday.


The incident took place on Wednesday night in the mountainous area of Satgariya para of Huaikang union of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Ziabul Haque Zia alias Babul, 30, son of Shamsul Alam of Huwaikang union of Teknaf and Azim Ullah, 46, son of Kefayet Ullah of Shilkhali area of Baharchara union, said Teknaf Model Police Station OC Pradip Kumar Das.

The two men were top drug dealers, police official said.
