7 projects of Tk 524 crore inaugurated in Chattogram
Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has formally inaugurated seven uplift projects involving Tk524 crore in Chattogram.
The minister unveiled the plaque of these projects at the conference hall of Sarak Bhaban at Agrabad in the city on Sunday morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Quader said around 48 percent of the total work of Karnaphuli tunnel has been completed.
It is expected that the total project will be completed in scheduled time.
After the capital Dhaka, the government has taken initiative to build metrorail in Chittagong city, said Quader.
The feasibility study in this regard will begin soon, added the Awami League general secretary.
The projects include – Chattogram-Rangamati National Highway of Tk 458 crores, four-lane road project from Hathazari to Raozan, construction of Fatikchari Road Sub-Division office Bunglow, Electronics tolls system of Shah Amanat Bridge, Chattogram-Kaptai regional highway, 31.82 meters PC grader bridge project and Sitakunda Darogahat weight scale 5th lane project.
Work of Maizzertek-BFDC fish harbor ferry ghat road PC grader bridge reconstruction, bridge strengthening from one kilometer to 5th kilometer, expansion works of Maizzertek road, Kasimur railway station – Bagichar hat road Chinese , flexible pavement and rigid pavement road development project will start soon.
