A woman, Shirin Khanam, 35, who run a drugstore, has died mysteriously in Barishal city on Sunday night.

The mysterious death took place at around 10:30 pm at her business store 'Shirin Medical Hall' on Band Road in the city.

However, shortly before her death, Shirin addressed business problems on Facebook Live.

Meanwhile, Shirin's brother Yusuf Mridha has filed a case with Kotwali Model Police Station for allegedly killing his sister by using poison.

Shirin Khanam, who separated from her husband, lived in the Oxford Road Mission area of the city and ran the drugstore.

Soon after falling ill at her shop, she was taken to the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where the duty-doctor declared her dead.

Many persons closed to her said that Shirin was on Facebook Live soon before her death. During live session, she alleged that there was a conspiracy to overthrow her from business shop.

About 15 days ago, a mobile court raided Shirin's drugstore and sentenced her to possessing expired drugs. Serving jail for two days, she was released on bail.

Contacted, Kotwali Model Police Station OC Nurul Islam said the body was sent to the hospital’s morgue for autopsy. Her brother's complaint is being investigated, he continued.
