Businessman dies after being bitten by dogs in Araihazar

A 45-year-old businessman was mauled to death by a pack of three street dogs at Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj on Friday morning.

Hospital sources and locals said the victim, identified as Abdul Wahab, was viciously attacked by the canines while he was going outside to meet a man for business purpose at 8am in Chuta Fausa Sarkar Bari area of the upazila's Brahmandi Union.

At one stage, he fell unconscious. Sensing the matter, locals rescued and took him to Upazila Health Complex where duty doctors declared him dead.

The deceased was son of Safar Ali in the area, said Araihazar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nazrul Islam.
