Mother, two daughters found dead in Rangpur
Police have recovered the bodies of a pregnant woman and her two children from a house in Rangpur city.
The bodies were recovered from the house in Bahar Kachna area of ward No. 9 in the city on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Ratna, 35, and her two daughters Neha, 2, and Nishat, 1.
According to police, RAB and local residents, the driver of an auto-rickshaw, Abdur Razzak, 40, lived with his wife and two daughters. Without finding any response from the house in the morning, locals wanted to enter the house but Razzaq prevented them from entering the house. Later, locals forcefully entered the house and found the bodies.
RAB arrested Ratna's husband Abdur Razzak in the incident.
Haragach Police Station OC KM Nazmul Quadir said, "Razzaq was addicted and the killing incidents might be taken place following family dispute. It is being investigated."
"Ratna has been strangled with a blade, and two other children are believed to have been strangulated. The bodies have been sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy,” he added.
