Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the drive against corruption has not been stopped; rather all corrupt people remain under surveillance and none of them will be spared.

Quader was addressing the triennial council of Narail district AL as the chief guest at the Sultan Mancha of Narail Government Victoria College on Tuesday.

AL Presidium Member Pijush Kanti Bhattacharya inaugurated the council by releasing balloons and pigeons.

The AL general secretary urged the party leaders and activists to say ‘no’ to corruption, terrorism, drug abuse, tender manipulation and extortion.

He also requested party men to make Sheikh Hasina's corruption-free country a success.

"Evaluate the dedicated party activists and not to include activists from outside of the party," Quader said.

Advocate Subhas Chandra Bose and Nizam Uddin Nilu have been re-elected president and general secretary of the Narail district Awami League (AL) respectively for the next three years.

Narail district AL President Advocate Subhas Chandra Bose presided over the council while AL Joint General Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif and Abdur Rahman, Organizing Secretary Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Labour and Manpower Affairs Secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj, Central Working Committee Members SM Kamal Hossain and Parvin Zaman Kalpana, lawmakers Kabirul Haque Mukti, Masrafe Bin Mortaza and Sheikh Sharhan Naser Tonmoy addressed it, among others.
