Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League (AL)
Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud has said his party will come to power
despite some people spreading propaganda.
"A section of people and groups, who don't like the
country's development, are carrying out different propaganda at home and
abroad. But, Awami League will come to power again through free and fair
polls," he said at a view exchange event with Bangladesh expatriates in
Canada.
While addressing the function at the AL Toronto office on
Sunday, the minister said most of the propaganda against Bangladesh is being
hatched from abroad, according to a media release.
"I am urging all expatriates to give a befitting reply
to those propagandas," he said.
Dr Hasan said conspiracy against Bangladesh was also held in
1971. But Bangladesh had achieved independence, he added.
"Similarly, no one can hinder the ongoing development
of Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina," he also said.
