Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has returned home on Wednesday after taking treatment from a Singapore hospital for over two months.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight (BG 085) carrying him landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 6:00pm.

Earlier, on March 3 last, the AL general secretary was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital after suffering breathing complications.

Tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery and later he was flown to Singapore for better treatment under the supervision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
