Samir made president, Kulsum gen secy of Krishak League

A new committee of Bangladesh Krishak League has been formed making agriculturist Samir Chand as president and Umme Kulsum Smriti as general secretary.

The new body was announced at the 10th national council of the associate body of the ruling Awami League (AL) on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the council with releasing pigeons and balloons at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the city around 11 in the morning amid fanfare and festivity.
