JS Rabbani demands VP Nur's resignation

Golam Rabbani, general secretary of the Dhaka University Central Student Union (DUCSU), has demanded the resignation of its Vice-President (VP) Nurul Haq Nur over corruption allegations.

The former general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League, who lost his post for his alleged corruption, on Sunday at a press conference organized by the DUCSU Chhatra League panel.

At the press meet, Rabbani said "Nurul Haq had clearly disputed and stigmatized the highest post of DUCSU. We do not agree to take responsibility for his misdemeanor. We urge Nurul to resign immediately without further disputing the post of VP of DUCSU."

DUCSU general secretary also said, "We urge the president of the DUCSU that if Nur does not resign, then he should be expelled from the post of VP of DUCSU on moral grounds."
