BNP has staged a demonstration in the capital demanding the release of Khaleda Zia who is now in jail.

A procession was brought out from in front of Labaid in Dhanmondi in the capital under the leadership of BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi around 10am on Monday. It ended in front of Anwar Khan Modern Hospital after parading city streets.

In a brief rally, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that Khaleda Zia's physical condition is gradually worsening. The government is trying to deceive the people in the name of providing medical treatment to her.

He said that Khaleda Zia was not given the opportunity to be treated at any specialized hospital, ignoring the demands of the people.

Despite the rapid deterioration of her physical condition, the people of the government are uttering the prescribed words like a parrot that Khaleda Zia is physically well.
