BNP's politics is with anti-independence forces: Quader
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that even though the BNP talks about the War of Liberation, their politics is with the anti-independence forces.
The BNP talks of non-communalism along with communal extremism, Quader made the remarks at a briefing at his residence on Monday morning.
In response to the BNP leaders' statement that the fall bell of the government has rung, the general secretary of the Awami League said, "In fact, the BNP leaders are so blind and deaf that long ago the people rang their fall bell, which they could not hear."
Asking the BNP leaders, Obaidul Quader said, "Didn't their last bell ring due to the extreme failure of the movement and the election?"
Noting that the BNP's words and deeds do not match, he said, "Double standard policy is one of the main obstacles in their politics."
Obaidul Quader said, “Election is the criterion of what people want and what they don't want. The Sheikh Hasina government is very sincere in holding a fair and participatory election.”
