Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka to reach semis

Winning the must-win match against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh have moved up to semi-final of the ongoing six-team Bangabandhu International Gold Cup Football Tournament’ 2020.

Motin Mia scored two goals while Mohammad Ibrahim scored the other at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital.

The second and last Group A match started at 5:00pm on Sunday.

In their last match, Bangladesh, 187th in the FIFA Rankings, beat Sri Lanka, 205th, by 1-0 goal in the 13th South Asian Games Football at the Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu.
