Hi-Tech Park Authority’s certificate handover ceremony held

Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHPTA) organized a certificate handover ceremony for the women working in e-commerce sector.

The programe was held on March 8, on the occasion of International Women's Day, said a press release.

Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen, MP, was present at the event as chief guest while NM Zeaul Alam PAA, Senior Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Division, attended as special guest. 

Sultana Afroz, Secretary and CEO, Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA), Prime Minister's Office was present as guest of honour and Sangita Ahmed, Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also joined the event presided over by Hosne Ara Begum, Managing Director (Secretary) Office Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority.

Besides, ANM Safiqul Islam (Joint Secretary), Director (Finance and Administration), Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Shomi Kaiser, President, e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) and Managing Director, Dhansiri Communication Limited jointly conducted the event. 

Shomi Kaiser, President of the E-Commerce, said, “There is a huge revolution going on during the period of Covid 19. With the leadership of the dreamer of Digital Bangladesh Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the e-commerce is moving forward with a new infrastructure. Women’s have sustained themselves in this adverse situation. To prepare women for fourth industrial revolution is our next step.” 

By lauding such initiative, Abdul Momen, MP, said, “Under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh has made a landmark progress. The women's have moved forward following the prudent decision and planning of Sheikh Hasina. Women are now wandering in every sector. We welcome the Hi-Tech Park Authority to build up women empowerment and robust women leadership.

Meanwhile, more than two thousand women trainees have completed ICT-related training courses conducted by the supervision and financial assistance of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority. These training courses will play a regulatory role in providing the necessary manpower to build a Digital Bangladesh.

Intending to provide well-trained women entrepreneurs and develop them into self-reliant and professional manpower, the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority has taken this timely initiative. These training courses are conducted through various training institutes like Dhansiri Communication Limited.
