People pay respects to Dr Zafrullah

The body of Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra and valiant freedom fighter, has been taken at the Central Shaheed Minar so that the common people can pay their last respects to him.

The body was kept at the Shaheed Minar till 1:00pm. 

Dr Zafrullah's body was given a guard of honour. 

Then, his body was taken to Suhrawardy Udyan from Shaheed Minar. His first namaz-e-janaza was held there at 2:30pm.

Dr Zafrullah breathed his last around 11:00pm on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in the capital’s Dhanmondi.
