Two workers die in Uttarkhan septic tank

Two workers died inside the septic tank of an under-construction building in the capital's Uttarkhan on Sunday. Fire Service and Civil Defences (FSCD) members have recovered their bodies.

The deceased were identified as Md Samad, 55, and Modhu Mia, 42, both hailing from Gaibandha.

FSCD Dhaka Zone-3 Deputy Assistant Director Shafiqul Islam said the two workers got stuck inside a septic tank when they were trying to remove its shuttering at around 9am on Sunday.

On information, an FSCD team rushed to the spot, but they were unable to save the workers. Their bodies were recovered and handed over to the police.
