Eid Jamaat held at Nat’l Eidgah, Baitul Mukarram

The main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha was held at 7:30am at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in Dhaka on Eid day. Another jamaat was held at the same time at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

The number of devotees was less than expected at both congregations due to the inclement weather on Thursday morning, said the Daily Samakal multimedia reporter Iklachur Rahman.

Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, as well as several members of parliament offered prayers at the Jatiya Eidgah ground.
