Defence attaché of 8 ally nations pay homage to Bangabandhu

The Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) chief, along with the military advisors of eight ally nations have paid glowing tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion 48th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day.

Led by DGFI Major General Hamidul Haque, the advisors paid homage to the architect of the country's independence by placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road No 32 in the capital on Wednesday.

The advisors were Australian Defence Attaché Lieutenant Colonel John Dempsey, Chinese Defence Attaché Sr Colonel Du Jinsheng and Asst Defence Attaché Colonel Qiu Haimo, Indian Defence Advisor Brigadier Manmeet Singh Sabarwal and Asst Defence Advisor Squadron Leader Abhutosh Shwarma, Nepali Military Attaché Brigadier General Rowshon Shumsher Rana, Russian Military, Air and Navy Attaché Colonel Sergei Victorovic Naidenov, and US Defence Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas Ng.
