Country’s economy under review: Finance Minister

Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali told parliament that the government is reviewing the economy of the country to assess the overall situation.

While responding to a supplementary question from Independent MP Sohrab Uddin, he said that the complete scenario will be clear after some days.

According to Sohrab Uddin, the reason for the country's economic instability is the dollar problem and money laundering. He wondered if the government would offer the opportunity to legalize unreported money by imposing an additional tax in order to remedy the problem.

In reply, the finance minister said the entire situation is under the review of the government.
