Aktaruzzaman’s aide Siam arrested, DB now in Nepal

Siam Hossain, one of the suspects in the murder of lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar in Kolkata, has been arrested in Nepal.

Nepal police arrested him on Thursday. 

Sources said a team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) has been sent to Nepal to investigate the murder. The team of four people, including one from DB police and one from NCB, left for Nepal on Saturday morning.

At 10 am on Saturday, Dhaka Metropolitan Dectective Police Chief Additional Commissioner Harun Or Rashid told the media at the terminal-2 gate of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city that he heard that Aktaruzzaman alias Shaheen's assistant Siam, the mastermind behind the murder of MP Anwarul Azim Anar, has been arrested in Nepal. 

He also said that there is a possibility that other accused might be hiding in Nepal after the murder. “Considering all things, we're moving there,” he added.
