Masud Bin Momen’s contractual appointment as foreign secy cancelled

The government has cancelled the contractual appointment of Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen.

The Public Administration Ministry has issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday.

The contractual appointment of Momen was scheduled to end in December this year.

On Sunday, the foreign ministry bid farewell to Masud Bin Momen with the attendance of Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossan and senior officials of the ministry.

On December 31, 2019, Masud joined as Foreign Secretary.

The tenure of Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen were extended by the ousted government by two more years under a contractual appointment effective from December 6, 2022 or from the date of his joining.
